Alexander Press publishes and distributes — in English, French, and Greek — its own titles and those from many exceptional Greek publishing houses. Special emphasis is given to Orthodox theology, iconography, spirituality, Mount Athos, Greek history, modern Greek literature and Greek popular tradition and other materials that reflect the “Inner Greece”, the soul of Greece — the Romiosini — of today and yesterday. Alexandre Une entreprise exceptionelle et très dynamique a été fondée à Montréal, au Canada, en 1987, par le Docteur John Hadjinicolaou, qui est également directeur du Centre d'études grecques de Montréal. Le but de l'entreprise est de proumovoir les livres à thématique grecque en Amérique du Nord et en même temps de faire connaitre aux Américains et aux Canadiens les ouvrages d'un certain nombre d'éditeurs grecs de grande qualité, et de leur donner accés à ces oeuvres. L'accent est mis surtout sur: La théologie, l'iconographie et la spiritualité orthodoxes, le Mont Athos, L'histoire de la Gréce, la literature grecque moderne er les traditions populaires grecques, à travers des livres en français, en anglais et en grec, et d'autres articles qui reflèctent "l'autre Gréce," la Romiosini d'hier et d'aujourd'hui. |
